Such a great range of tools and resources —thanks for sharing!! I've had my eye on Sara's film photography course also. And thanks for the reminder to finally join my local library!
I loved the course!! It was a really digestible intro to film and only took me a day or two to get through. I’m sure there’s probably some amazing libraries in the Sonoma area too🤍
So many incredible resources! Love this! Will def check some of the Substacks and podcasts!
I've been using Freedom for over a year, not only on my phone but also on my desktop and laptop.
But since I could relate to what you mention on "find myself instinctively checking the habits an unhealthy amount of times per day, using it to fill any empty space, whether that’s waiting for a bus or in procrastination of a task" I decided to take some further steps, like getting an iPad for work only - aka social media, cause I create content - and deleting social media apps from my phone. Also, keeping my phone on black and white mode makes the device really non-atractive lol
These two things really helped me to cut my screen time. And by the way, I decided to take some action towards my "addiction" after watching an amazing video on Youtube called "I hate my phone so I got rid of it".
And one thing I'm bringing with me this new year is "The Artist's way" - I'm halfway through it and loving this new Morning Pages habit.
Thanks so much for reading and sharing these tips that have worked for you!! I like the idea of having separate devices for work/social. Once the apps are no longer on your phone it really reduces the usage!!
I haven’t officially done the artists way (although it’s been on my bookshelf for months now😆) but I do write daily and try to prioritize solo outings! Let me know how this journey goes for you!
Maddy, thank you so much for including me in this wonderful piece, I’m lapping up all your other suggestions! I also joined to be magnetic this year and have found their methods really work ❤️ also a huge fan of Grace and Emma’s substacks, and yours now too since I discovered you on here! Xx
I've tried using Notion... like 3 times and each time I end up more confused about the platform/dashboard than before I started. LOL. Last week, I even downloaded the same template as you got (and linked) but somehow did not get around to using it. Aaahhhhh maybe I should try it again?

I am going to Paris in March and have Louise Carmen on my list of places to go to! So good to hear that you love their notebooks.
Such a great souvenir!!
