Curation 03. A Gift Guide: Objects Edition
My personal wishlist for this holiday season, including curated products for creative women and little ones.
The holidays are officially upon us which means it’s time for gifting. This year I went *a little* overboard with my personal gifting research and so I wanted to share my findings with you. I hope you can find at least one “perfect gift” from this guide and that it will save you some time (and energy) when it comes to gifting this season. This will be the first of two gift guides. The second one will be focused on gifting experiences, but for now, enjoy this “objects” edition. Happy Holidays!
On My Wishlist: Objects
1. A.S.L Paris
A.S.L is the objects and furniture line designed by the branding and architecture studio Saint-Lazare Paris. I’m totally obsessed with all of Saint Lazare’s work, so when I came across A.S.L, I immediately added multiple items to my wishlist.
The Archive Box: To ~aesthetically~ store all the things
L'ex-libris: A Personalized, Manual Stamp
2. Traveler’s Company USA
I was gifted a traveler’s notebook several years ago, and love how customizable they are. This year I’m hoping to upgrade my notebook with a few additional accessories, like the zipper pocket and Kraft folder. Also, this notebook is a great notebook/scrapbook for non-travel related purposes as well.
3. The Essential Cotton Tablecloth by Hawkins NYC
I’m always in need of a basic tablecloth, yet have been using the same stained one for years from various hosting occasions and kids art projects. Finally adding an affordable, yet high-quality tablecloth to the list this year.
4. Dutch Oven by Made In
I love anything green, especially this dutch oven by Made In. We purchased a set of their bowls last summer and now I’m ready to add this to our collection.
5. Kindred Black
A bit of a splurge, but this artisan skincare products housed in one-of-a-kind bottles might just be worth it.
6. Smokeless Incense by Bodha
Initially captivated by their branding, and now adding smokeless incense to the ritual list.
7. L’ART DU POSSIBLE I by Imprimerie du Marais
A notebook concept created by the fine printing factory based in Paris and London.
8. Gohar World
I recently came across Gohar World’s new brick and mortar and was mesmerized by the environment they created. While visiting in-person is preferred, I’ll online shop in the meantime.
9. Marin Montagut
I’m obsessed with all of the artistic curiosities that come from Marin Montagut. His recently released coffee table book is at the top of my list, as well as the watercolor palette made in collaboration with Charvin. *Also, while we’re here, be sure to add both locations to your Paris must-visit list.
Coffeetable Book: Extraordinary Collections: French Interiors · Flea Markets · Ateliers
Watercolor Palette: MARIN MONTAGUT X CHARVIN

11. Handcrafted Chocolate by Casa Bosques
Created by Savvy Studio, a branding studio I’ve long admired. Handcrafted, highly bespoke chocolate bars (with beautiful branding and packaging, of course.)
12. Ceramic, Handcrafted Boards by Con Alma
I’ve had my eye on these handmade creations after my step mom introduced me to the brand several years ago. Another year on the wishlist!
Creative Spotlight:
Three creatives whose work I’m loving right now:
Katie Jameson: Beautiful, high-quality and limited edition prints from Austin-local, Katie Jameson’s travels.
Tenaya Wickstrand: Nature-inspired fine artworks that elevate any space by local Austin artist.
Julianna from Maragold Designs: High-quality, handmade leather goods, from card holders to sleeves for sunglasses. We love our personalized Christmas ornament we got last year!
On My Wishlist: Clothing & Shoes
Almost 3 months postpartum and my wardrobe is in need of some major upgrades, starting with these essentials:
Frank & Eileen One Size Button-Up
Black Crane Wide Pants
Free People Ottoman Slouchy Tunic
Sezane Loafers
Converse Chuck 70 Low Top
Gift Ideas for Kids & Babies
When it comes to gifting for little ones, I try to be intentional with our choices, especially because our daughter’s birthday is just three days after Christmas (so our house quickly becomes crowded with lots of things!) This year we’re trying to gift more experiences rather than things, especially for our 4-year-old (stay tuned for more experiential gifting ideas in the next newsletter.)
1. Handwoven Advent Calendar by Shirley Bredal
Not your typical advent calendar. My mom gifted this to us several years ago and it’s now become a favorite tradition of ours. *a pre-Christmas present!
2. “Portraits de Villes” Kids Travel Guides by A.S.L Paris
Another plug for A.S.L.. Will be gifting our daughter the Paris edition this Christmas.
3. Personalized Baby Brush by Officine Universelle Buly
We bought both of our babies engraved baby brushes and combs from Officine Universelle Buly. It’s the ultimate heirloom gift, and something we will forever treasure.
4. “Let Them Eat Cake” Children’s Book by Molly Wilkinson
A children’s book written about Molly’s personal journey from Texas to becoming a pastry chef in Versailles. Obviously this hits close to home as a fellow Texan and Paris transplant!
5. Mini Chef Foldable Helper Tower by Piccalio
After many meals of Ella assisting in the kitchen sitting on the counter, we finally purchased her this tower. It also comes with a kid-friendly cutter so they can help with food prep!
6. Odin Parker
We’ve been gifted several beautiful gifts from Odin Parker over the past few years. Their handmade, wooden heirloom toys make for long lasting gifts and also double as decor.
7. Doux Chamonix Tee by TINY Clothing
I’m in love with all of the whimsical designs and French references from TINY for babies and kids.
8. Senger Stuffed Animals
The perfect cuddly buddy for babies. Baby Teo will be receiving one of these this Christmas.
9. Kidamento Instant Print Camera & Photo Album
*Another more minimal photo album option by Semikolon
I love the idea of Ella capturing moments and putting them in her personal photo album for us to keep and reminisce on for years to come.
10. Surf Shack Puzzles
We purchased one of these for Ella at the farmer’s market in Honolulu. I’m not joking when I say she does this puzzle every. single. day. Bonus points for their gorgeous designs and environmental contributions.
11. Baby Board Book Artifact Uprising
I love anything personalized, especially when it comes to gifting for our little ones.
12. Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn is always a personal go-to for holidays, mainly for their decor selection and keepsake gifts.
Thanks for reading along with me,
